After leaving the Welsh Riviera, I moved to Southampton for Uni and then to London for work.

On a business trip to the USA, I met an New Yorker called Alayna, who I then fell in love with, proposed (all over a 12-week period) and moved to the city in 2007. Married the girl and have two beautiful Welsh/American children, Seren Alice, and Henry Ieuan.

Never forgot that I was Welsh, and began getting involved with helping to promote Wales as a premium place to invest for US multinational companies, with the help of the Welsh Government in New York.

On his visit to the New York in 2014, we had the First Minister of Wales ring the opening bell of the New York Stock Exchange in honour of St. David’s Day, the broadcast going out to an audience of over 50,000,000 people worldwide.

The following year we did it again at the closing, this time with the help of Welsh actor Michael Sheen, and the icing on the cake was the Welsh flag flying proudly outside the NYSE fo r the first time in its 223 year history.
