I am proud of my Welsh heritage, being fluent in our mother tongue, and being brought up through the strong music traditions of Wales. From Bangor, playing in local brass bands, forging my career as an International Performance Artist for the Yamaha Music Corporation, as a multi instrumentalist.

My name is a constant reminder of my Welsh roots, Arfon, the place of my birth. And I will always carry that with me, no matter where my music takes me.

I couldn't have done it without the inspirational music educators that Wales has, especially the William Mathias Music service. My father was a quarry man at Penrhyn slate quarry, a keen singer in the male voice choir. My passion for music stemmed from him, and my mother, a member of the local church choir.

I take my Welsh roots wherever I'm performing, whether that be at Carnegie Hall, Sydney Opera House, or my local church here in Norway! I take great inspiration from my music teachers from North Wales, and apply many of their words of wisdom in my teaching at universities<br />world wide.

My name is a constant reminder of my Welsh roots, Arfon, the place of my birth. And I will always carry that with me, no matter where my music takes me.
