GlobalWelsh launches #WonderfulWelshWomen campaign

GlobalWelsh is calling for Welsh people and everyone with an affinity to Wales around the world to mark International Women’s Day (Monday 8 March) and Women’s History Month (March) by celebrating #WonderfulWelshWomen in Wales and around the world, past and present. The social media campaign asks people to nominate and tag Wonderful Welsh Women and share and submit their Wonderful Welsh Stories so that GlobalWelsh can amplify their impact around the world.

This campaign aims to encourage people to nominate and celebrate the ‘Wonderful Welsh Women’ that have inspired them in the past, are making a difference right now, or are shaping the future. GlobalWelsh would like everyone who is Welsh or has an affinity to Wales to participate on International Women’s Day and throughout March, which is Women’s History Month by sharing stories, tagging friends, family, colleagues and inspirational women, using the hashtag #WonderfulWelshWomen.
GlobalWelsh is also encouraging women to submit their Wonderful Welsh Stories via the GlobalWelsh website and will select as many as possible to celebrate and share during March >> globalwelsh.com/story-submit

Nan Williams, chair of GlobalWelsh said: “March is a very special month. It starts with St David’s Day and Wales Week which bring together the Welsh community right around the world. And the next milestone is International Women’s Day. And the whole of March is designated Women’s History Month. We want to celebrate and support wonderful Welsh women all over the globe – past and present.”
