YnNi Teg (meaning ‘Fair Energy’) is a Welsh Community Energy Organisation who have launched a share offer and are looking for investors with a connection to Wales. Those investing become members and will be helping to bring the company closer to achieving their mission of developing a clean energy future, mitigating climate change, building stronger, more resilient communities in Wales and spreading the benefit of ownership across all members of society.

YnNi Teg’s Wind turbine has been constructed and commissioned using a loan from Finance Wales. Now that the turbine is commissioned, YnNi Teg need to replace this loan with shares, as the rate of interest on the loan is higher than the interest rate on shares, so the more raised in shares - the greater the community fund they can achieve and the society will then be owned by its members with a 1 member, 1 vote principle.

Individuals can apply for between £100 and £100,000 in shares. Anyone aged 16 or over can apply and shareholders can take part in member meetings and help to make decisions about what the Society should be doing.

Applications for shares can be completed either by filling in and posting the form to the address at the back of the share offer document which you can download from the YnNi Teg website or you can apply and pay for your shares online.
