GlobalWelsh is looking for two Kickstarters to join the team
We are delighted to be recruiting for two positions via the UK Government's Kickstart scheme which is aimed at helping young people aged 16-24 who are currently out of work.
Through these opportunities we want to give two talented young people new tools and experiences that will help them to learn new skills, make new connections and do good things!
We are recruiting for:
Marketing Assistant
Remote/South Wales - Cardiff/Newport & Monmouthshire
Assist the team with the day-to-day running of GlobalWelsh to gain experience across:
- Community engagement – day-to-day listening and engagement via our community engagement platform
- Graphic design – generate graphics in line with brand guidelines
- Copy writing – draft a variety of content across multiple medias and audience types
- Digital marketing – support the development and execution of digital campaigns
- Social media – day-to-day scheduling, listening and engagement. Help source and generate interesting and relevant content
- Email marketing and data management – support the execution of a campaign schedule and reporting
- Public Relations – helping to develop stories for media and engage with media and influencers
- Campaign management – support the design and development of multichannel marketing campaigns
- Website management – uploading contenting and updates
- Analytics & reporting – across the community platforms, social and email
- Event planning – assisting the team with the management of online/offline events
- Helping with market research projects & surveys
We are looking for someone who is early in their marketing/communications and career and looking to utilise and build on their experience by working in a dynamic, fast-paced start-up not-for-profit. The ideal candidate would bee someone with 1-3 year’s relevant work experience or a relevant degree. The role will require someone to be self-motivated and pro-active. The role will require someone who is happy working alone/remotely and within a team setting. They must be passionate about the GlobalWelsh mission. A Welsh speaker would be advantageous. Access to own transport preferable but good public transport links to Cardiff, Newport and Monmouthshire would also be considered.
Investor Relations Executive
Remote/South Wales - Cardiff/Newport & Monmouthshire
- Day-to-day upkeep of our Investor Portal platform
- Assist with the organisation and management of investor-focused events – online and physical
- Create and manage feedback surveys
- Campaign management – working with the team to design and development of multichannel marketing campaigns
- Creation of supporting collateral and digital content – including brochures, videos and case studies
- Liaising with partners, investors and businesses
This is an opportunity for someone who is early in their career preferably with 1-3 years’ professional experience and looking to gain further experience by working in a fast-paced start-up not-for-profit. The role will require someone who is professional, self-motivated and pro-active. Someone who is happy working alone/remotely but also within a team setting. The role will require someone who considers themselves to have strong organisational, creative and technical skills. They will be passionate about the GlobalWelsh mission and have keen interest in business, investment and marketing.
Full training, mentoring and support provided.
